Educational Attainment in America
Check out this awesome dot-density map showing educational attainment across America. Developed by Kyle Walker at the TCU Center for Urban Studies, the map reveals geographic trends among education levels attained by the US population aged 25 or greater.

This map is an excellent example of a dasymetric map, which here represents statistical data in reference to population density. Note that each dot does not represent locations of individuals. Dots were placed randomly within populated Census tracts and represent between 25 and 500 people (depending on zoom scale).
